Ourimbah XC maintenance
Hi Folks,
Feel like some cross training? Feel the urge to give back to the trails we love to ride? This Sunday there is a maintenance day planned to tackle the critical issues, the entry to the drop off and the top of roller coaster. Yes there are more issues to deal with and they are on the agenda. More hands means more work will get done.
Sunday 8am onward, till as long as you like!
Bring any of the following, wheelbarrow, shovel, steel rake, your bike, water, gloves and some elbow grease.
Cheers
Rob

Work to Upper Jumping the Gun Begins. (Photos in Post 18)
Just a bit of an update on Upper Jumping the Gun so everyone knows what is going on in the park.
Trail works have now moved to the Jumping the Gun to start making the trail usable after rain. As you would all know, sections of the trail hold significant water and stay wet for extended periods.
A few trail design scenarios were put to the NPWS on Thursday and pegged out on Friday. Today the machinery rolled in to begin works. Keep an eye out on this trail as the NPWS will be working all weekend and into next week.

Next GTA build day location.
After this weekend successful build day we are now at a point where we can look to move to a new section of trail to work on. At bit of a discussion was had at the end of saturdays works to see where we go from here and a couple of trail locations were suggested as being the potential focus for the upcoming build days.
- Suess Land (ruled out as the NPWS will likely want to supervise this given the prevalence of threatened flora adjacent to the trail corridor).
- Lower Kenny (where the trail splits into either the steep chute or the alternate line)

Glenrock Volunteer Maintenance Day wrap up from 14th August

Work on the step up - The B-Line ramp is now complete thanks to the importation of soil to fill in the gaping holes between the rock ramp that had been created at the last build day. A little bit of tidying up was also done to the A-Line leaving this section complete.
