Details:

We have spoken to the NPWS and they are OK with us doing a bit more substantial work on 'the trail formerly known as BJ's'.
I'd like to think we can get as much interest as we did with ' the trail forerly known as SH's'.

We will meet at the top of Bailey's Paddock around 9.30 for a 10am start down at the trail.

NPWS ranger Tiffany will be attending and NPWS will supply snacks and drinks, you will have to bring your own lunch if you want it.

Everyone is welcome, new starters or old hands and bring your friends, there will be a lot of work to do.

You need the usual; shoes, water, hat, sunnies, gloves if you have them and yellow GTA shirt if you have one, others will be available on the day.

Tools will be supplied.

Any questions post here or PM, hope to see you there.

Be nice if this rain keeps up for the build day. Might turn the concrete soil into something digable.

Some primo work being done up there
And having World trails and the NPWS working together
Superb
I love looking at the update photos
I will ride here before the end of winter

All this rain means we should have perfect conditions to dig and it’s too wet to ride. So I’ll be there rain hail or shine, although the prediction is for rain to ease.

I’ve been out for a look with various people over the last few weeks and we now have a pretty good plan for the work. As you’d expect most of the work will be focusing on the berms and corners but we’ve got a bit of drainage work and some trail ‘enhancements’ planned, so all up heaps of digging to do – it’s great cross-training Eye-wink

I’m really excited to get out there and make this one of our best trails, so look forward to seeing you all there.

Mick.

I can't make this one.

I'll play guest photographer then.

Looking forward to it and the rain has made for perfect digging conditions.

I'm pretty sure I'm out, I'll be at Eastern creek raceway(hopefully).

NPWS will not be supporting us tomorrow so please bring your own food and drink.

See you there, Mick.

As a first timer for trail work I hope the soils soft

Lenny_GTA's picture

It should be soft, its been wet enough. I'm sure it won't be the concrete we had to work with last time we were working BJ's.

See you there.

At least we will get a good look at water flow issues today - you know that's my thing Mick

Empy's picture

I'll be there

At the trails now, good turnout of about 12. Kind of scary how dry the soil is once the surface is scratched.

Do you think it will be all right to ride on sunday?

Lenny_GTA's picture

Supposed to start bucketing down again, so I would say no.

Believe it or not, the new works could do with some rain as the ground was bone dry once you got in, but other parts of the trail we walked were pretty wet and riders going past were very muddy.

I'd stay away, but I know a lot of people won't.
